Four products have new information worth knowing. Three involve car seats. Millie Moon appears again after more reports were identified.

Categories in this update

1.  Car Seats — Cybex Callisto G 360
2.  Car Seats — Chicco FIT360
3.  Car Seats — Evenflo Revolve360 and Revolve360 Extend
4.  Diapers — Millie Moon Diapers

Category 1 — Car Seats

Cybex Callisto G 360

What we're seeing

Several reports describe the harness loosening after it was tightened. In some reports, the straps loosened as the child moved in the seat.

Why this status

Six reports describe the same general harness problem. That is enough for us to keep this seat under closer watch. We did not identify a recall for the Callisto G 360.

Since August 1

Six harness-loosening reports are now part of the pattern we are watching. Two of the newest were received by NHTSA on August 10 and 11.

What we're seeing

Reports have raised concerns about different parts of the seat used to keep the child or the seat secured.

Why this status

We are continuing to watch the FIT360 because serious reports are still appearing. We did not identify a recall for this seat.

Since August 1

One newer report says a broken cover allowed a child to release the harness while the vehicle was moving. Another says the lower-anchor webbing completely separated.

What we're seeing

Federal regulators are investigating the Revolve360 design, including how the seat connects to its detachable base. The investigation followed reports that the seat shell could separate from the base in a crash.

Why this status

We recommend considering another seat while the federal investigation continues. Other Revolve360 models have also had safety action. The newer REO by Revolve360 recall is separate and does not apply to this seat.

Since August 1

A newer report says the vehicle seat belt became trapped and damaged inside the base and had to be cut to remove the seat.

Evenflo Revolve360 Extend

Current Status

Consider Switching

Before you buy...

What we're seeing

The Revolve360 Extend is part of the same federal investigation into the detachable-base design. Certain Extend seats were also recalled in Canada because U.S.-certified seats were shipped there without all required Canadian labeling and instructions.

Why this status

We recommend considering another seat while the federal investigation continues. Other Revolve360 models have also had safety action. The newer REO by Revolve360 recall is separate and does not apply to the Extend.

Since August 1

A newer report says the rotating mechanism jammed before reaching a fully locked position. The report says the indicator remained between red and green.

What we're seeing

Reports continue to describe severe rash, welts, blisters, peeling, bleeding, and raw skin. Some families report needing medical care. Others say the skin improved after changing diaper brands.

Why this status

We continue to recommend considering another diaper because similar severe skin-reaction reports continue to appear. We did not identify a recall for Millie Moon Diapers.

Since August 1

During this review, we found 47 additional reports describing the same types of severe skin reactions we have been monitoring.

Take Notice continues monitoring complaints, investigations, lawsuits, recalls, and other public records for these products.

The next Monitoring Update goes out September 1. If our recommendation changes before then, subscribers will be notified.
